FAQ's

Courses and workshops currently take place at the weekend and our hypnotherapy course days run from 10am-6pm.

We currently run courses and workshops in Cambridgeshire, Essex and Norfolk (although we are expanding, so if you would be interested in training in our local area, do get in touch).

Our hypnotherapy training course is accredited by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council.

Once qualified you will be able to set up in private practice. From this point it is really up to you. You can have a general practice, or do further training and specialise in one particular area. You can work towards becoming a supervisor or trainer. If you choose to join the CNHC, you will notice that they often have therapy jobs advertised.

No, previous training hours can be taken into consideration and you only need to complete the additional hours. The number of hours you need to complete and the specific classes you will need to attend depend on your previous learning.  We will assess this for you.

Just travel costs and the books on your book list. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided.  We also provide  your portfolio folder, first note pad and first pen.

Yes absolutely, just contact us to discuss this.

The reason we applied to have a diploma course accredited by the GHSC is because they believe than anyone wanting to be a hypnotherapy practitioner needs to undertake a minimum of 450 hours.  In our experience those completing courses offering considerably lower hours often don’t practice because they simply don’t feel sufficiently trained or equipped to work with potentially vulnerable people.

As hypnotherapy training involves a lot of practical elements, it is very important that you trainer has the time to be able to observe you and give any additional advice needed.  If there is a high number of students, the trainer simply won’t have to time to make sufficient assessments.  For this reason, if the numbers go over a maximum and on assessment days, there will be 2 trainers per class.

Based on information from the National Careers Service, hypnotherapists can earn up to £100 per session (the actual amount may be higher or lower, depending on where you are geographically based.)

You do not need any previous qualifications, just a desire to become a hypnotherapist and be prepared to work towards this goal.

Whilst your age is not a barrier it is often better to undertake training such as this if you have some life experience.

As there are various written and communication elements to this course, each student must be able to write and speak English to a reasonable standard.

In order to ensure the safety and well being of all our students, trainers and future clients, we can only accept people onto the course who will be safe, competent and ethical therapists. To this end, we are unable to accept those people who are addicted to drugs or alcohol, or those who have been convicted of either a sexual offence or an offence against a vulnerable person.

If an applicant has a history of drug or alcohol addiction, is currently under medical supervision for a mental health condition, is on medication for a psychological or emotional condition, or is suffering from a serious medical condition, we will assess each case individually and may still be able to accept your application. However, we may ask you to seek the advice/permission of your GP or Consultant prior to offering you a place on the course.

We would need to be informed (at the time of application) if you are currently pregnant, are epileptic, or suffer from any long term medical condition. Again, each case will be assessed on an individual basis and GP or Consultant advice/permission may need to be sought.

If you are uncertain about whether we need to know something or not, please simply speak to us and we will advise you.
